CORTI: Co-operative Robot Application in the Textile Industry for Fancy Yarn Machine
In the Phase 1 of the SME Instrument, the Gualchieri company leader in the manufacturing of textile machinery will receive a non-refundable contribution for a total of 50K Euros aimed at drafting the business plan. During this Phase, Gualchieri will also benefit from the coaching support from the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN). Afterwards, the company will have the opportunity to participate in Phase 2 of the SME Instrument, that foresees contribution up to 70% of the total cost of the designed project.
The SME Instrument is a funding line directly managed by the European Commission that addresses exclusively Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and innovative start-ups. The main objective is to support for-profit SMEs from any sector willing to roll out marketable innovation solutions and with ambitions to scale up that could drive economic growth. It supports high-risk, high-potential SMEs to research and develop innovation (new products, services and business models) in order to increase their competitiveness on international markets.
Euro Project Lab (EPL), member and partner of EAL, is the consultancy company that has supported Gualchieri in achieving this important objective. EPL, with offices in Ferrara (Italy) and Brussels (Belgium), is specialised in designing and management of European projects as well as trainings on the sectoral and structural funds of the European Union (ERDF and ESF).
